Summer Adventure Girls is a program for 4th-6th grade girls. We meet in the meeting room of the Norfield Library every Wednesday from 4-5pm and all take turns reading aloud for the hour. We choose books with strong female characters and provide them for the girls each week. Once we finish a book we have a fun activity or event (often times requiring permission slips from partents). Everyone is welcome to join us at anytime of the program. The program starts June 25th and will go through the August 20th and will most likely pick up again in mid September. Our first book will be Caddie Woodlawn by Carol Ryrie Brink. Start: 12:00 pm

The Creative Professionals Committee of the Northfield Area Chamber of Commerce presents The Third Annual Golf-A-Palooza, "What Happens in Northfield, Stays in Northfield" Thursday, June 26, 2008 at Willingers Golf Club. Sponsored by Community Resource Bank. Don't miss out on the NOT-TO-BE-MISSED event of the summer. Golf-A-Palooza is open to anyone who would like to meet and mingle with business professionals from the Northfield and surrounding areas. Included in your registration for golf is a goodie bag, lunch, 18 holes of Golf with GPS carts, and a "Vegas" buffet dinner. Registration fee for Chamber Members is $100 and for Non-Chamber-Members it is $125. HOPE Center introduces our new Director! Erica Staab started with us on June 16. She is a graduate of Faribault High School and has recently returned to her home town after several years in South Carolina. She has 10 years experience in the area of violence against women, most recently working for the South Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. We are hosting an Open House in Erica's honor on Thursday, June 26th, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Our office is located at 303 1st Ave NE, Suite 365, Faribault. Please stop by if you can! Start: 7:00 pm
