(event) Northfield Lions Pancake & Sausage Breakfast: Sunday, 4/27 Start: 8:00 am End: 12:30 pm The Northfield Lions Pancake & Sausage Breakfast is this Sunday, April 27th. Please bring used eyeglasses and cell phones for recycling and enjoy breakfast at the Northfield Ballroom from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Adults eat for $6 and kids 12 & under are only $3. Special thanks to Upper Lakes Foods for donating the food! (event) Final Hours of "Czech Printmaking 2008" Start: 1:00 pm End: 4:00 pm This is the last weekend for the ArtOrg gallery exhibit "Czech Printmaking 2008". Here is a photoset of the opening of the show, which was a big success--drawing about 200 people. Friday, April 25 from 5 to 7pm, and Saturday and Sunday April 26-27 from 1 to 4pm is the last chance to see this wonderful show--and take home some wonderful art created over 4500 miles away!. We also put one of the main artists, Jan Vicar, up on our gallery site, so see a few pieces of Jan's work here. (event) Raise the Roof in 2008 Start: 5:30 pm End: 8:00 pm Rice County Habitat for Humanity needs your help to build its 15th and 16th homes in Lonsdale and Faribault this summer. This fund-raising dinner and auction (live and silent), with entertainment by the Herb Sellner Band, will be held in the Faribault American Legion (112 5th St. NE, Faribault), with social hour beginning at 5:30, and dinner at 6:15. Tickets are $25 ($13 donation value) and may be purchased at: (event) I Cantanti 20th Anniversary Concert Start: 7:30 pm The I Cantanti Chamber Choir presents their 20th Anniversary Concert at 7:30 p.m. this Sunday, April 27 in the Northfield Middle School auditorium. Admission to the concert is free, but donations will be appreciated. The ensemble was founded in 1988 to give adult singers in the Northfield area the opportunity to perform with a first-rate, auditioned choral ensemble. During the past two decades the choir has grown in size from 18 to 34 voices, and also added a women’s ensemble, so that in 2008 there are 46 participants.
