Co-signers of the Minnesota Health Care Act will discuss the legislation at a Town Hall Meeting Saturday, Febrary 9th at 2:00 p.m. at the Northfield Public Library Meeting Room. Rep. David Bly will host the discussion. Senator John Marty, an author of the proposal said, "Our legislative proposals are designed to put us on a path toward guaranteed health care that can't be taken away."

The Northfield event is the culmination of a three-day tour legislators are making to Duluth, Hibbing, Brainerd, Mankato and Winona. The public is urged to attend. For more information contact Jane McWilliams, 507/645-8423.

Theresa Harsma (Owatonna), Becky Jokela (Sogn), Jean Lejcher (Pine Island), Marie Marvin and Wendy Westlake (Zumbrota), Kate Pearce (originally from Pine Island, now St. Paul), Colleen Riley (Northfield), Dan Wiemer (Red Wing), and Jennifer Wolcott (Waterford).

These artists were selected by ArtOnWater Gallery from all participants in the studios, art galleries, and other venues featured in the 2007 art tour events 'Zumbro River Art Splash', 'Red Wing Studio Ramble', and 'South Central Minnesota Studio arTour'.

“The Girls,” four talented women whose harmonic blend and unique vocal styling breathes new life into jazz tunes, ballads and R&B standards, will perform in concert on Saturday, Feb. 9, at 7:30 p.m. at the First United Church of Christ “Congregational” Church, 300 Union in Northfield.

Lori Dokken, Judi Donaghy, Erin Schwab and special guest, Debbie Duncan, are familiar faces and voices on the Twin Cities music scene Their tight, four-part harmony has been delighting Twin Cities’ audiences for the past six years.
