Young People's Theater Workshops Starting Soon

The Northfield Arts Guild is once again conducting their popular Young People's Theater Workshop. The Arts Guild staff of theater artists lead young students in creating an original production.  The mornings are filled with classes in creative dramatics and dance.  In the afternoons, participants take part in writing an original script and rehearsing. Live performances are open to the public on the last two days of the session.

This year, two week and three week workshops are being offered.  "The two week workshop (YPTW2) is in response to our students who were unable to commit to three weeks in the summer." says Ann Mosey, Executive Director of the Guild.  "These workshops are already full, though we have spaces available for YPTW3, which is our three week workshop."

This year's instructors and directors are Ann Gregory-Bjorklund, Amy Haslett-Marroquin, Beth Breiland, Bob Gregory-Bjorkllund, Christine Kallman, and T. McKinley.  Shari Setchell will choreograph.

YPTW3 starts Monday, July 14 and runs through August 1, Mondays through Fridays.  For more information or to enroll, call the Northfield Arts Guild office at 507 645-8877.
