Weekend Happenings: August 7-10, 2008
Starting today, Thursday, and continuing through Sunday, is the annual celebration of ArtSwirl, where there is more art than you can shake a stick at! Don’t miss the many artsy happenings downtown.
Also happening on Thursday is the John Falck Memorial Golf Tournament beginning at 1 p.m. at the Northfield Golf Club. ChARTdonnay is happening as usual from 5-8 p.m. at the ArtOnWater gallery. Down Lo is playing the Rueb-n-Stein upstairs at 9:30 p.m. and The Tavern Lounge is hosting the Todd Thompson Trio.
ArtSwirl continues on Friday. Marty Anderson & The Goods is playing The Contented Cow, and Tony Newes is playing The Tavern Lounge.
On top of Saturday’s ArtSwirl happenings, Todd Thompson & Friends is playing Hogan Brothers Acoustic Café from 7-9 p.m. and Matt Arthur & The Bratlanders are playing the Tavern Lounge.
Sunday is the last day of ArtSwirl, and there will be the routine Politics and a Pint at the Contented Cow at 6 p.m. and Northern Roots Session following it at 7:30 p.m.
