Now on to weekend happenings in Northfield. Mark Mraz brings the Tavern Lounge piano to life tonight (Thursday) while Bobby Bomba plays the Louisiana blues and soul at the Contented Cow. For the do-it-yourselfers – there's Karaoke at the Frog.

On Friday, with temps above zero!, you'll find Occasional Jazz, 5 p.m., at the Contented Cow, The "Vermillion Editions: An American Print Shop" exhibit opening at ArtOrg at 6 and The Arts for Martin, a gathering of astounding local talent at 7 at the ARTech Charter School. Sex with Seven Men opens at the NAG Theater at 8, the New Moon Trio plays the Contented Cow at 8, mezzo soprano Emily Lodine is the guest artist at a Carleton College Concert 8-9:30, the Norwegian Cowboy plays the Tavern Lounge and there's Karaoke at the upstairs Rueb. NOTE: Jack Knife and the Sharps were listed for Friday - but they play the Grand on Saturday.

Saturday has Sex with Seven Men on the NAG Theater stage at 8, Karaoke at the Fieldhouse and DJ music upstairs at the Rueb at 9. Carol Lynn plays the Contented Cow and Jon Manners bring decades of flavor to the Tavern Lounge.

The usual Sunday Night Contented Cow triumvirate: Politics and a Pint (6), Northern Roots (7:30) and the very popular Quiz Night (8not 4 as listed in the print version of the Guide).
