Use of Native Plants for Home Gardens

 Lynn Steiner, author of Native Plants for Minnesota and several other books on landscaping with native plants, will discuss how to use native plants in home landscapes at the annual meeting of Friends of the Northfield Public Library, at 7 p.m., Tuesday April 7 at the library. Steiner, one of Minnesota's best-known garden writers, will explore native plant options for home gardens and discuss how to use these low-maintenance and lovely plants. Her illustrated talk will include handouts to take home and use as you plan your gardens this spring.

Steiner's talk will be preceded by a brief business meeting. Questions, refreshments and a book signing will follow.
