call me malcolmNorthfield's Main Street Moravian Church is offering a free showing of the feature-length film “Call Me Malcolm” on Tuesday May 20 at 7 pm. The film is part of a LGBT Bible Study being offered and is open to the public. The film is about a person’s transgender journey from female to male. The film begins with Malcolm’s final year of seminary. He is unrecognized as “Malcolm” by his family and uncertain about his future. Malcolm meets a variety of people on his journey, a journey which ends with greater possibilities for his life than he could have imagined. Malcolm shares his reflections with candor, eloquence and compassion. “Call Me Malcolm” was officially selected for numerous film festivals including NewFest in New York City and the Riverside International Film Festival.

Also, on Tuesday May 27 at 7pm Kristian Maul from the Transgender Youth Support Network in Minneapolis will be at Main Street Moravian Church to share about his own journey from female to male, particularly his spiritual journey. Kristian will also share general information about transgender issues. This talk is free and open to the public.
