Toaster Fork! at the JuneBug Music Festival
Toaster Fork! JuneBug Contented Cow Thursday, June 25, 2009 8:00 pm
It has been said that the best thing to do, when you don't know what to do next in life, is to start a band. Bassist Jay Thrall, lead guitarist Mark Hovey, Drummer Dan Mills, lead singer Tom Keefe and rhythm guitarist (and Northfield resident) Chris Ash (second from right) did exactly that, and have been playing together for over eight years. We play songs you can relate to; songs about waitresses at Embers, Iowa hogs, playing Lacrosse, strong pours, sunflowers, fields and kites, existentialism, summer (the season, not the girl), being dangled over a bridge, starting your car from your living room, and celebrate the fact that Pac Man still costs a quarter at your local arcade. If you are over 30, you'll get it. Our influences can be summed up as just about everyone that ever picked up a guitar.
Toaster Fork! played played the 2008 ArtOrg 'Winter Music Concert Series', and will return to Northfield for The JuneBug Music Festival on Thursday night, June 25th @ 8:00 pm. Come join us for a pint and the sunset on the back deck of the Contented Cow. Admission is free. Hope to see you there.
