NATC Computer Training Center, at the Northfield Senior Center, 1651 Jefferson Pkwy, has experts available once/month on a variety of computer-related topics.  The public is welcome; there is no charge.  This Friday, May 15, 9:30 - 11:10, the topic will be Speech and Text Recognition.

Do you know that your computer can print your words as you talk? It can do this at a rate up to 150 words per minute. Do you know that your computer can read to you from a page of text?

These operations are known as “Speech Recognition” and “Text Recognition,” and can be accomplished using either Windows XP or Windows Vista software. Often, this can be done without touching the keyboard or mouse.   Please join us for a demonstration of these interesting and amazing computer capabilities.
