Standard Poodle Play Group other poodles welcome
Our monthly playgroup is meeting this Saturday at the Northfield dog park on Highway 3 across from McDonalds and next to the river and the new Culver's building going up. Bring a ball and pooper bag and let's romp! Other poodles welcome. We range from last month a pathetic 2 dogs, to mostly 4-9 standards in attendance.

puppys available for play date on Saturday morning?
Hi
I have a new 6 month old standard poodle named RADAR and I was told about your group by one of the techs at Rich Lorang's office. Since my puppy is rather young yet and he has shown himself to be pretty timid around adult dogs (not puppys though), I was wondering if there are any other puppys coming to your Saturday morning group? If not, I wonder if I should give it a try or wait until he is a little older. Maybe you all have had some experience with this kind of this.
Let me know what you think, and I look forward to meeting the Standard Poodle Group some Saturday morning.
Thank you,
Brett Holzschuh
Standard poodle play group
Brett, glad Jenny called you (she's great, isn't she?)
Bring your puppy now and saturate it with any and all social events now so she thinks that is how the crazy humans live. If she sits by you and watches the whole time, that's ok, and later she will venture out.
Take her downtown, get her out as much as possible ASAP as per Good Dog Great Owners (or is it Great Dog Good Owners, at our local library) while her brain is still forming and absorbing new experiences.
At poodle play group for one thing two or three of the older poodles mostly sit by their owner. Mine will run.
I just got a blind standard poodle 8 weeks ago (adult) and my rule was meet and greet 100 the first month. I didn't quite make it, but she did meet and greet a lot and she is good with it now, including kids.
She and my other standard poodle will be there Saturday and every first Saturday we are in town, even light rain like last month we were there.
I am at the dog park other times, and/or you are welcome to bring your dog to my house for new experiences.
