St. Olaf Lyric Opera to perform rarely seen Gilbert and Sullivan operetta
The St. Olaf Music Department's Spring Lyric Production will be the rarely seen Gilbert and Sullivan operetta Utopia Limited, or The Flowers of Progress -- a farce that depicts a failed attempt at Anglicizing a Utopian island.
Performances will take place Saturday, May 9, and Sunday, May 10, at 8 p.m. in Urness Recital Hall, Christiansen Hall of Music. The performance is free and open to the public.
Directed by Carrie Stillman and Amanda Underwood, choreographed by Jessica Reed.
