St. Olaf cafeteria to feature 'Low Carbon Diet' Wednesday
Bon Appetit, the food service of St. Olaf College, will showcase its unique Low Carbon Diet Wednesday, April 22, from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Stav Hall cafeteria on the third floor of Buntrock Commons (park in the main lot to the north of Buntrock and Boe Chapel). The price to the public is all you can eat for $9.05 (including tax).
Stav will be transformed to highlight low carbon food choices, with each food area illustrating a key principle of reducing climate change. You will have extensive choices but will be encouraged to taste new items that are more climate-friendly than some regular features, including:
- Roasted wild-caught salmon
- Naked Pizza with fiery masala black dal, roasted grape chutney, charred five-pepper salad, smokey sweet potato puree
- Local black bean tamale pie
- Apple-braised Wild Acres turkey sandwich
- Turkey burgers with cranberry jalapeno jam
Before you go, check out Bon Appetit's Low Carbon Diet Calculator.
