Rose-Marie James: Color, Glass, Passion

Rose-Marie James’ colorful fused glass fills the Arts Guild's Members’ Room September 26 through October 19.  Reveling in a process where multiple pieces of cool glass are fused into one with the application of heat, Rose-Marie welcomes the unpredictable and exciting results.  “Working with glass has always been so mesmerizing,” she says.  By using even higher temperatures, she can push the material further by altering the shape of a piece.  Rose-Marie is the owner of Dream in Glass Studio in New Prague, Minnesota.  The opening reception for Rose-Marie's exhibit takes place at the Northfield Arts Guild this Friday, September 28 from 7-9pm.
