Rea Dol to Speak at Carleton
Northfielders are invited to meet Haitian community organizer Rea Dol who will be in Northfield for three appearances during the first week of October. Dol is the founder and director of Society of Providence United for the Economic Development of Petion-Ville (SOPUDEP) a grassroots organization in Port a Prince. SOPUDEP offers education for children and adults and a micro-credit program for women. Sponsored by the Haiti Justice Alliance of Northfield, Dol will speak at St. Olaf’s Viking Theater on Monday, October 4, 12:55-1:50 p.m.; Tuesday, October 5, 4:00 p.m. at Room 104 Boliou Hall at Carleton. On Wednesday, October 6, there will be a meal and presentation from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the First UCC, 300 Union Street. Doll will discuss Haiti after the earthquake.
