Paper Works, an Exhibition of Prints by Karl Nelson

Through October 27, Northfield Arts Guild Member Karl Nelson shows a series of detailed intaglio prints at Allina Clinic.  Painstakingly made, each abstract image is built up by a series of small dots using a technique called stippling, “which means making one dot at a time with a sharp needle.” 

“I try to push the images in two different directions at once…so that they float on the edge of making sense,” Karl remarks.   Karl is an alumnus of St. Olaf College and received his MFA from University of Wisconsin-Madison.

This gallery is located near the lab waiting area at Allina Medical Clinic of Northfield at 1440 Jefferson Road.  Regular Clinic Hours are 7 am to 8 pm Monday through Thursday, 7 am to 7 pm Fridays, and 9 am to 3 pm Saturday.
