Panel Will Discuss Voter Rights

The public is invited to attend an informal “What’s Up?” gathering sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Northfield and Cannon Falls on Monday evening, March 24th, at 7 pm at the Northfield Senior Center in Room 106. A panel of experts will address topic of voters’ rights: Jeff Narabrook, Voter Outreach Director – MN Secretary of State’s Office, Sarah Walker, Lobbyist at Hill Capitol Strategies & Co-chair of MN Second Chance Coalition, and Mike Fitzgerald, Professor of History & Director of American Studies at St. Olaf College. They will share their perspectives on this critical topic, with plenty of time for discussion to follow.
The League of Women Voters, a non-partisan political organization, that encourages informed and active participation in government and influences public policy through education and advocacy. League legislative positions come from member study and consensus. The League is active in the legislative process, working to ensure that every eligible citizen is able to exercise their right to vote. The panel discussion of March 24 is an example of the League’s work as an educational organization.
