Start 2014 off healthy and attend a series of monthly nutrition seminars at the Northfield Public Library.  Local nutritionist Noel Aldrich will discuss the following topics:

– To start right, you have to know your baseline

To improve your health, you need to know your starting point.  This seminar will provide examples of basic blood test results used for evaluating current health and how to use nutrition strategies for health improvements in the New Year.

– Nutrition strategies for your children and their future

Nutrition is the cornerstone for a child’s foundation in life.  We will review the basic nutrition principles that will strengthen your children and give them a strong start in life.  Resources will be recommended for continued personal learning.

Good Carbs, Bad Carbs

– Understanding how to maximize nutrition

Learn how to identify what foods contain a healthful sugar balance with other nutrients.  We will review whole food nutrient values vs. processed food nutrient

Protein is one of the three major nutrients that require balanced consumption. We will review high quality proteins and how they are used in the body.  We will present tasty, healthful protein recipes to be added to your health plan.

– Choose Wisely!

How is fat used in the human body?  Should more or less fat be eaten?  We will review which fats promote health and the how to add them to your proactive health strategy.  We will present tasty, healthful recipes that use quality fats.

Noel Aldrich is a Licensed Nutritionist with a PhD in Nutrition from the University of Minnesota where he researched weight loss practices and successful dietary choices for seven years. Noel has been an educator for the past twenty years in a variety of settings including Northwestern Health Sciences University, YEAH Academy, the Academy of Science, Research Bound, North Central University, Northwestern College, and Bethlehem College.

Dr. Aldrich is the senior consultant of Nutrition Proportion, an educational resource company for holistic lifestyle choices.
