Submitted by Sara Warzeha on Tue, 04/23/2013 - 3:52pm
The Northfield Arts Guild is excited to announce this year’s installment of the VERY SHORT PLAY FESTIVAL. The VSPF is a festival of ten minute plays that is open to playwrights of all ages and skill levels. Playwrights submitted their work for review and were chosen for production by Anna Moltchanova, a professor at Carleton College. According to Moltchanova, “ This years selection includes a lively and very short biography of Walt Disney, the adventures of a time-traveling settler in the Mall of America, some hilarious and profound artistic explorations of two big holidays Thanksgiving and Christmas, a story of internets influence on our family life, love and friendship and, of course, plays dealing with the perennial themes of war and peace, life and death.”
The VERY SHORT PLAY FESTIVAL will be presented on Saturday, May 4th at 7:30pm at the Arts Guild Theater, 411 W 3rd St. Work will be included from Samuel Temple and Elijah Leer of Northfield, Evan Hatch of Northfield, Brent and Dylan Stratton of Oak Park, Sam Graber of Minneapolis, Marion Blomgren of St. Paul, Nicole Spooner of Robbinsdale, TD Barna of Eagle Lake and Sara Pillatzki-Warzeha of Burnsville.
Ticket prices are $5 for all ages. Check the Arts Guild website for more information: www.northfieldartsguild.org
