Maria's Taco Hut Joins Riverwalk Market Fair
This Saturday, September 15, Riverwalk Market Fair welcomes the Fair’s first food truck. Owned and operated by local chef Maria Estrada, Maria’s Taco Hut serves freshly prepared Mexican specialties.
“We are excited to welcome Maria Estrada,” says Riverwalk Market Fair board member and farmer Kathy Zeman. “Maria’s Taco Hut has been a popular vendor at Northfield events, and her commitment to using locally grown foods makes her a perfect fit with the Fair’s mission of offering local, sustainably grown foods.”
Along with homegrown, locally produced vegetables, Estrada will use eggs from Spring Wind Farm, a sustainable farm in Northfield, as well as organic vegetarian chorizo from Just Food Coop. Her menu includes veggie, chicken and beef burritos, tacos and in warm weather, taco salads. Look for Maria’s Taco Hut at Riverwalk Market Fair from September 15 through October 27, after which the Fair moves indoors.
