Laps for Logan
(Submitted by Juley Nygaard)
There is another opportunity to help Logan Olivero and his family, the Northfield boy who was diagnosed with Leukemia in May, coming up July 11th. Bethel WePOD (We are a Presence of Devotion), a small group of high school befrienders at Bethel Lutheran Church, is planning a walk to raise money for the Olivero family. Laps for Logan, will take place at the Carleton track on Friday, July 11th from 6 to 8 pm.
Pre-registration forms will be available at Bethel, Sweet Pea's Loft, Papa Murphy's, and Northfield Montessori. These forms can be turned in at these places with money enclosed. Checks should be made out to Bethel with "Laps for Logan" in the memo line. The cost for the event is $20/adult, $10/child (age 2 - 12) and $40/family (2 or more participants). Registration forms, along with the registration fee must be turned in or postmarked by July 8th. If you are unable to pre-register, you can sign up beginning at 5:30 the night of the event. A "Laps for Logan" t-shirt will be given to every person participating in the event.
Groups participating in the event are asked to create a poster for Logan to carry as they walk. These posters will then be hung around the track and later given to Logan when he arrives home.
Come enjoy the company of other Northfielders and walk to help support the Olivero family.
