It's not too late to register for YMCA's Fall Classic 5K and Kids Fun Run/Obstacle Course

It’s not too late to register for the Northfield Area Family YMCA’s Fall Classic 5K and Kids Fun Run and Obstacle Course. The family-oriented event is planned for Saturday, Oct. 29, at Northfield’s Riverside Park/Lions Park Pavillion/Veterans Memorial area. The 5K run/walk starts at 9 a.m., followed by the kids pumpkin obstacle course run at 10:15. Event day registration is from 7:45 to 8:45 a.m. The route of the run/walk follows the paved path along the Cannon River, over the pedestrian bridge and on to the Mill Towns State Trail. Strollers will be welcomed on the run/walk. Registration is $18. A T-shirt is included with registration. Proceeds go to help fund YMCA teen programs. The obstacle course run is free for children. Kids who take part in the obstacle course received pumpkins.

- The Northfield National Guard Armory, 519 Division St.;
- The Y’s Health and Wellness Fitness Center, 900 Cannon Valley Drive, on the campus of the Northfield Retirement Center.
