Hiroshima Peace Day gathering
People of all ages are invited to write a message of peace and fold it into a paper crane during the Hiroshima Peace Day event in Northfield Thursday, Aug. 6, at the Just Food event space, 6:30-8 p.m. Local artist Mac Gimse will be a featured guest, and Northfield City Councilman Kris Vohs will represent the city.
After folding the cranes, the group will walk down Water Street, cross the bridge and conclude the ceremony at the Peace Pole.

Liberty
. . You ask, What is our policy? I will say; It is to wage war, by sea, land and air, with all our might and with all the strength that God can give us: to wage war against a monstrous tyranny, never surpassed in the dark lamentable catalogue of human crime. That is our policy. You ask, What is our aim? I can answer with one word: Victory - victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory, however long and hard the road may be; for without victory there is no survival.
- Winston Churchill
Paper Crane
I hope I can submit an epaper crane of the mental ethereal
and prayerful sort on behalf of all those who would if they
knew, who would if they could, and myself.
Blessed Peace to the World
