Get your tickets now for downtown Northfield’s 6th Annual Girls Nite Out, coming up this Friday, May 11, 2012! This very popular event brings hundreds of women to downtown Northfield for an evening of shopping and pampering, dining and socializing, dancing and fun. Proceeds for the event also go to support local charities. Tickets to Girls Nite Out are $10 in advance and $12 the day of the event. Advance tickets can be purchased at KYMN Radio, at participating retailers including Sisters Ugly, The Rare Pair, The Eclectic Goat, Monarch—and online at www.thegrandnorthfield.com.

In addition to treats and in-store specials from 5 to 9 p.m. at participating restaurants and retailers, Girls Nite Out ticket-holders get VIP admittance to a not-to-be-missed party from 9 p.m. to midnight at The Grand Event Center, where they can enjoy hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, a performance by the “GNO Dancers,” and—back by popular demand—dancing and live music performed by the very popular Twin Cities cover band, Sweet ‘Stache. (Doors open at The Grand at 8:30 p.m.) Those attending the party will also have their name entered in a drawing to win a $1,000 downtown shopping spree, along with a variety of other fabulous prizes.

As in previous years, proceeds from the event will be donated to area charitable organizations. “Not only is Girls Nite Out a super fun evening for women of all ages, but we’re really proud to help support local charities,” says Ally Sellers, Girls Nite Out co-chair. “In the past five years we've been able to donate over $2,500 to local non-profit organizations that benefit women and children.” This year, a portion of the Girls Nite Out proceeds will again be donated to Ruth's House in Faribault, which serves women throughout Rice County.
