Defeat of Groundhog Day is an "Official" Success!

The residents of Punxsutawny, Pennsylvania, were dismayed to learn that their beloved groundhog, Phil, saw his shadow this morning, thus dooming the residents to suffer another six weeks of winter. Luckily for Northfielders, Phil's opinion on the length of our longest seasons holds no sway here!

A public "Defeat of Groundhog Day" celebration was held Saturday night at the Upstairs Rueb 'n' Stein, where Northfield mayor Mary Rossing delivered a proclamation declaring the second annual DGHD effort an "official" success.
