Cross Generational Tour to Tanzania - Sign up and Orientation Meeting

St. Olaf professor Joseph Mbele and social studies teacher Larry Fowler have set a sign up and orientation meeting Tuesday, April 14th at the Community Center/senior center, 1651 Jefferson Parkway, Northfield, MN from 7 PM – 9 PM for a cross generational tour to Tanzania. The Cross Generational Tour will take place June 17th – July 1st, 2009 and is open to high school age students on up through seniors. The cultural tour will accommodate up to 25 persons and will support better understanding between the people of Tanzania and the US.

Tour participants will meet the people of Tanzania, visit schools and also enjoy the sites. Mbele and Fowler have tailored the tour to support cross generational learning. The tour will focus on the culture of Eastern Africa. More information can be found in an earlier story on Northfield.org.
