"Color Stories" at the Northfield Arts Guild Gallery

Color Stories at the Guild

From September 26 through October 26, Carla Thompson of Northfield and Pat Dunn-Walker of Rochester bring rich hues together in a series of bright, acrylic paintings.

Pat Dunn-Walker   Pat has been involved in the Rochester art community for twenty years.  She has a background in graphic design which has influenced they way she approaches painting.  Pat has shown her work at the Phipps Art Center in Hudson, St. Mary’s University in Winona, the Rochester Art Center, and other galleries in Minnesota.  She has also been awarded the Established Artists Grant from the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council on three occasions.

Carla Thompson   Carla received a degree in Graphic Design from Bemidji State University and, after working as an art director for a medical product design company, a graphic designer, and mural artist, she started her own business called Barefoot Studio.  Carla’s work has been included in a number of art festivals and shown in galleries and boutiques.  She enjoys teaching both adults and students her painting techniques.

Join us for the opening reception on Friday, September 28 from 7-9pm.  Carla and Pat will be participating in a Gallery Talk the same evening from 7-7:30pm.  Both events are free and open to the public.
