Carleton Jazz Ensemble to Present Fall Concert

The Carleton Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of David Singley, will present its fall concert Oct. 24 at 8 p.m. in the Carleton College Concert Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
The Ensemble will perform several original pieces, including one original piece by Singley, an original piece by Twin Cities trombonist and composer Dean Sorenson, and an original piece by Denis DiBlasio, a longtime saxophone player in the Maynard Ferguson band. The Ensemble will also perform selections by Tholonious Monk and Count Basie. The concert will also feature a performance by the Carleton Jazz Combos.
