Cannon River STEM School Open House
Cannon River STEM School (CRSS) will host an open house for interested families on Saturday, December 6th, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Just Foods Co-op meeting room on Water Street in Northfield. CRSS is a new K-8 public charter school locating in the Northfield area and opening in the fall of 2009. CRSS will combine project-based, place-based, interdisciplinary learning with an academic curriculum focused on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).
Join us this Saturday to find out more about registration, curriculum, and location. Members of the CRSS board will be on hand to answer your questions about the school and its mission. And bring along the kids for fun hands-on learning activities! Activity stations will allow children to explore the Cannon River Watershed, aquatic biology, fibonacci numbers, and other intriguing topics in science and mathematics.
And if you do your shopping at Just Food Coop, bring your own bag and receive a Planet Patch at checkout. During the month of December, Just Food will donate 5¢ to CRSS for each Planet Patch placed in the collection box near the store entrance.
