Featured Food Artisan Crack of Dawn Bakery

Chris and Lori Momberg share their love of fresh, hearty bread with visitors at Riverwalk Market Fair. “Baking bread has become such a joy for us and something we can work at together,” Lori Momberg says. The couple rolls out of bed before the crack of dawn each Saturday to make their bread fresh for the Fair, a fact that inspired the company’s name. Each week they offer a featured flavor loaf such as blueberry and lemon swirl or pesto Parmesan, along with staples including French boule, 100 percent whole wheat, focaccia and baguettes. In 2013 Chris and Lori’s best new creation is eleven-week-old Talia Momberg, who is enjoying her first Riverwalk Market Fair season.
