A Friend Indeed: The Bill Sackter Story

A new feature-longth documentary film on the life of Bill Sackter, a resident of Faribault State Hospital for most of his life, will be presented at St. Olaf College (Buntrock Commons ballroom) Thursday, March 19, at 6:30 p.m. Sackter's life and later work in "Wild Bill's" coffee shop were the inspiration for the movies "Bill" and "Rain Man." A question-and-answer session with filmmaker Lane Wyrick will follow the screening, which is sponsored by St. Olaf College and by Cedar House, Inc.

The film was voted "audience favorite" at both the Kansas City International and Hardacre film festivals.
