9th Annual Arts a la Carte at NHS

The 9th annual “Arts a la Carte” Evening of the Arts will be held on Friday, May 1st from 6-9 p.m. at Northfield High School.

Arts a la Carte is a yearly event that celebrates visual, literary, dramatic, and performance art and is open to the public.  This amazing event provides high school students with the opportunity to share their artistic talents and passions with the community.  Children and adults will find plenty to do throughout the evening and everyone is encouraged to attend.  Some of the activities planned for this year’s event include:  musical performances by high school music students, the annual edible art food sculpture contest, fish printing on t-shirts, a clay Jurassic Park interactive sculpture garden, jewelry making, magnetic poetry, origami, face painting, paper decoration, book making, henna body tattoos, a giant doodle wall, Honors Art student demonstrations, a student visual art show, and door prizes including iTunes gift cards and the grand prize of a portable DVD player.

Arts a la Carte is organized in large part by students, teachers and community volunteers. There is a $1.00 admission charge at the.  Pizza, rice crispy bars and bottled water will be sold at the event so come hungry!  Hope to see you on Friday, May 1st.  Happy MAY DAY!
