“Contemporary Zulu Ceramics” at Carleton
Elizabeth Perrill, professor of African art history at the University of North Carolina in Greensboro, will present a lecture entitled “Contemporary Zulu Ceramics: Life Stories from Azolina MaMncube Ngema and Clive Sithole” on Friday, October 24 at 4:30 p.m. in the Gould Library Athenaeum. The lecture is sponsored by The Robert Lehman Foundation with additional support from the Edwin L. Weisl, Jr. Lectureship in Art History. Perrill’s talk is presented in conjunction with the exhibition “World Ceramics: Transforming Women’s Traditions,” on display in the Carleton Art Gallery. Both the lecture and the exhibit are free and open to the public.
