Her parents had boarders, mostly teachers at the Dundas school 2 blocks away, and following school she worked at home helping with chores and household work.

On January 29, 1934 she was united in marriage to George John Pinc at the Church of St Dominic in Northfield and they farmed 2 ½ miles south of Dundas in an area known to the locals as “Rabbit Run” for a few years. They later moved to a farm north of Dundas where they lived for 30 years farming and raising their 4 children. Marion began working for St Olaf College in 1962 in housekeeping where she worked for the next 18 years, retiring in 1980. In 1999, following George’s death, Marion moved to the Northfield Manor and in January, 2008 she moved to the Northfield Care Center.

Music was a large part of her life, beginning with organist at the Holy Cross Episcopal in Dundas where her family belonged. After her marriage she began playing for Mass at St Dominic’s and also would accompany the priests at services in the nursing homes in Northfield. She was still playing at the NRC Chapel for services and was often heard playing in her apartment to the enjoyment of her neighbors. She was a longtime member of the Dundas Study Club, the Holy Cross Guild, and the Degree of Honor Lodge where she served as secretary for 30 years.
