You'll find details on pages 6-8 of the NEG, but here's a preview of what's going on...

I took a few photos last weekend in the east end of the Cannon River Wilderness Area park, near the intersection of County 20 and 22 just south of Northfield.

How cold is it?
Submitted by Alex Beeby on Sat, 02/18/2006 - 11:27am.
It was a cold one yesterday and last night -- no doubt about that. Just ask my car whose alternator died of hypothermia. The good people at Valley Autohaus gave me a jump last night (courtesy of AAA) and are operating on it this morning.
How cold was it? It reached -16 F just after 3 a.m. today, but the temperature has risen steadily since then and broke into positive territory around 10 a.m. Check out Carleton's weather database to see the latest weather info or to mine the databases and charts they keep.
Drama in Dundas
Submitted by Bruce Morlan on Mon, 01/30/2006 - 7:53pm.Last weekend I observed a bit of drama in a field in Dundas. Apparently there is a nesting pair of bald eagles near the Cannon River in Dundas (where a section of the river is designated "wild and scenic", and we plan on keeping it that way).
