Gant makes preseason debut for Redskins
CANTON, Ohio - Horace Gant, a 2008 graduate of St. Olaf and free agent pick up of Washington, made his preseason debut on Sunday night in the Redskins' 30-16 win over Indianapolis. Gant saw action in three quarters.

ST. PAUL, Minn. - St. Paul Saint Charlie Ruud '04 added to his pro baseball resume on Tuesday when he pitched two perfect innings in his first American Association All-Star Game. Ruud, who set the Saints' all-time record for wins last month, will have more than baseball to think about in the next year.
