In the last eCatalyst, members were invited to attend a LWVMN Southeast Regional Fall Seminar at Northfield’s Senior Center on Saturday, November 16th. We have been notified by the State League of the cancellation of the Northfield event.
We have been invited to the Seminar being held on Saturday, November 23rd from 9-11:30 am in St. Paul in the Minnesota Women’s Building (where State League Offices are located) at 550 Rice Street. Registration to attend in person is $10, with on-line registration $5. If you have questions about registration, you are asked to contact Anika Walz at the State Office (651-224-5445; email@example.com).
The topic of the Fall Seminars: Learn how to make your local league sustainable and successful. There will also be a focus on how to restructure your local league to a 501(c)3, LLC and how to engage in the capital campaign.
As a follow-up to our Forum on the ABC’s of the Affordable Care Act, we are addressing the topic of the current status of MNSure at our next “What’s Up?” gathering. The event will take place on Monday, November 25th at 7 pm at The Hideaway in downtown Northfield.
We are pleased to announce that Jacob Grippen, MNSure Community Outreach Liaison, will be joining us, along with Jim Blaha, Executive Director of Northfield’s Community Action Center, and local insurance agent, Dale Ness.
We hope you’ll be able to join us for this informal presentation and discussion. Invite friends and neighbors to become informed about this important topic! We hope you’ve marked your calendars for these upcoming “What’s Up?” Monday events, as well: January 27th, February 24th, and March 24th.
