Opening Day
Because the Northfield area schools are still is session, we will be open at 3:30 pm until 8:00 pm today. June 5th starts the regular 11:30 am to 8:00 pm public swim times. Lap swim hours will start June 5th.
Preschool stories and craft times
Stories and a craft for the “just about ready for school crowd.” Especially for those who are ready to sit and listen to a picture book, sing songs and create a small art project.
Toddler Rhyme Time
Is a time to encourage development of language and motor skills by integrating movement, songs, books and rhymes for kids ages 2-3 with parent or caregiver.
Science Fiction Book Club
Join staff member David Greenfield in lively discussions of science fiction books. Email David to find out what books are being read.
Patty Cake Infant Lapsit
Patty Cake Infant Lapsit Infant Lapsit is specially designed to encourage development of language and motor skills by incorporating books with simple songs, rhymes and fingerplays. For ages 6-24 months with parent or caregiver.

NO First Steps Early today! First graders will be here for tours this morning.
Hands on fun for children and their caregivers. Drop in anytime and you will find a fun filled room with many early learning toys and books. A volunteer is on hand to assist you. If you would like to volunteer please call the library. 507-645-6606
Spring Training for Library Pages
Spring Training for Library Pages! begins Tuesday, April 9th. 3:30-6 Come and check to see if it’s something you’d like to do! We will meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30-5 though May 23. For kids in finishing 5th grade and up who are interested in volunteering for the summer reading program which goes from June 11 to the end of July. Pages prepare and assist with the summer reading programs for younger children Tuesday through Thursdays from 9 to 3 including Books & Stars on Wednesday evenings. Library Pages usually work one to two days a week during the summer.
